Management Plan
Our management plan is the result of a two year, bi-county planning effort with the State of Maryland to develop a corridor plan for heritage tourism in Harford and Cecil Counties. This plan was developed with public and private input from stakeholders. It was subject to public hearings and eventually was legislatively adopted by the Harford County Council, Cecil County Council and the three municipal governments of Perryville, Port Deposit and Havre de Grace. Each jurisdiction designated the LSHG the management entity of Heritage Area and pledged financial support in partnership with the State who would provide capital funding for projects to heritage area resource such as museums and cultural sites identified in the heritage area to implement this 25 year plan.
